What is the difference between overflow and skimmer pools?
Overflow pools offer a modern and breathtaking feature where the water level is even with the surrounding deck. A distinctive channel surrounds the pool perimeter, to contain the water and drain away the overflow.
On the other hand, skimmer pools pull the surface water towards the sides. The water level in skimmer pools is typically around 15cm below the level of the decking. Small baskets on the pool side are use for draining and capturing any debris.
So, which type of pool should you go for? The more elegant, beautiful, and easier to clean and maintain option is definitely the overflow pool, but comes with the price of requiring a balance tank to maintain the water level.
